About the role
The University of Georgia is seeking a Part-Time Radiologic Technologist - PRN to join our team. This is a PRN position, meaning the hours are flexible and as needed. The position is located in the Athens area and reports to the Radiology Manager.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of routine radiologic procedures based on written orders from UHC clinicians, physicians, and external providers.
- Registers patients for imaging procedures and ensures images are properly routed to the ordering provider and radiologist for interpretation.
- Maintains accurate patient records and generates image copies of images from PACS as needed.
- Ensures examination rooms and work areas are organized and sanitized to support effective infection control.
- Affords assistance with transporting patients to clinics when necessary.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography program required; RT® ARRT required.
- Experience with digital radiography and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or Competencies:
- Demonstrated ability to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Effective communication skills when interacting with patients, visitors and employees within the organization.
- Strong working knowledge of diagnostic radiography techniques and procedures.
