About the role
This position is a pilot position based out of the Tri-County with a shared home-based office downtown Yarmouth. The position is a year contract with possibility of renewal. This position is 10 hours a week, is paid $24.76/hour and is a non-unionized position.
Responsibilities
- Design and facilitate workshops/programs and/or curriculum specifically in relation to gender justice and/or 2SLGBTQIA+ realities
- Apply care-centric systems navigation skills related to a 2SLGBTQIA+ context
- Work with youth in a welcoming, youth-centric, and engaging manner
- Apply knowledge of anti-oppression and social justice in all aspects of the work
- Participate in creative and collaborative education models
Qualifications
- Ever-growing understanding of anti-oppression and social justice
- Experience in designing and facilitating workshops/programs and/or curriculum specifically in relation to gender justice and/or 2SLGBTQIA+ realities
- Passionate about working with youth
- Ability to apply care-centric systems navigation skills related to a 2SLGBTQIA+ context
- Excited about creative and collaborative education models
Pay & Schedule
- 10 hours per week
- $24.76/hour
- Year contract with possibility of renewal
