About the role

Right At School provides local school districts with before- and after-school extended-day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students.   • Hillsboro School District, 63050

Schedule

Monday–Friday split shift: 6:00 AM–8:30 AM and 2:00 PM–6:00 PM. Hours may vary by school location.

Pay

$21–$26 per hour, depending on education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit role-model qualities to ensure safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities for a team of staff members.
  • Support operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
  • Outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensure program tasks are completed effectively.
  • Provide continual coaching and foster respectful relationships among staff to address challenges promptly, maintaining team cohesion and productivity.
  • Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants; identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to build effective communication and relationships.
  • Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust.
  • Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support program goals and implement changes or processes as guided.
  • Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs; ensure “name to face” attendance procedures are completed per company policy.
  • Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.

Requirements

  • Center Director Certification from Missouri’s Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Candidates without this certification cannot be considered.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check, including Family Care Safety Registry registration/screening and a clear eligibility letter from the state.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • Proof of High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications

  • Experience working amidst competing priorities and delivering quality service to all stakeholders.
  • High school diploma or GED completed.
  • Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
  • Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, and visual) with adults and children.
  • Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and the community.
  • Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
