Right At School provides local school districts before and after school extended day programs with a focus on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Responsibilities
- Exhibits role model qualities ensuring safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities to a team of staff members.
- Supports operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
- Outlines attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensures program tasks are completed effectively.
- Continual coaching, fostering respectful relationships among staff to address any challenges or issues promptly to maintain team cohesion, and productivity.
- Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants.
- Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to support effective communication and relationship building.
- Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs.
- Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.
Requirements
- Experience with working amongst competing priorities and delivering quality service to all stakeholders
- High school diploma or GED completed
- Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs
- Coursework or training in child development and/or related field
- Communication skills; oral, written, and visual with adults and children
- Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community
- Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn
Qualifications
To meet Virginia state-specific requirements, candidates must have one of the following qualifications:
- Graduate degree in a child-related field with six months of programmatic experience
- Bachelor's degree in a child-related field with one year of programmatic experience
- 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours of college credit with 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours in child-related subjects and one year of programmatic experience
- Two years of programmatic experience with one year in a staff supervisory capacity and at least one of the following education backgrounds:
- A one-year early childhood certificate from a college or university
- A child development credential with specific requirements
- A certification of qualification from an internationally or nationally recognized Montessori organization

Pay
The pay rate for this position is $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on education and experience.
Schedule
The program hours are Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM.
