Part Time Program Manager - Ledyard Public Schools

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended-day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment to support the success of all students. About the role

As a Program Manager, you will drive the mission by ensuring safety and joy standards are met, supporting operational efficiency, and fostering respectful relationships among staff. You will maintain program cohesion and productivity through continual coaching and prompt issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit role model qualities to ensure safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities for a team of staff members.
• Support operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
• Outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, and safety procedures, ensuring program tasks are completed effectively.
• Provide continual coaching to maintain team cohesion and productivity, addressing challenges promptly.
• Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants.
• Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to build effective communication and relationships.
• Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust.
• Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support program goals and implement changes.
• Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs, ensuring “name to face” attendance procedures are followed per company policy.
• Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
• Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, and visual) with adults and children.
• Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
• Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
• 20+ years of age.
• Ability to meet Connecticut state-specific requirements, including:
  • First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • Must be on site 60% of the time.
  • 1080 hours of documented supervised experience over a nine-month span and one of the following:
    • CDA (Child Development Associate) credential.
    • 12 credits in early childhood education or child development.
    • BS/BA degree in early childhood education or child development, 360 hours of experience working with alike ages, and 1 semester of student teaching with alike ages.

Pay

$19.00–$23.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–8:35 AM and 3:10 PM–6:00 PM.
