Part Time Program Manager - Ledyard Public Schools

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended-day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Pay

$19.00–$23.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Monday–Friday
6:30 AM–8:35 AM and 3:10 PM–6:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Exhibit role-model qualities to ensure safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities for a team of staff members.
• Support operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
• Outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensure program tasks are completed effectively.
• Provide continual coaching and foster respectful relationships among staff to address challenges or issues promptly, maintaining team cohesion and productivity.
• Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants.
• Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to build effective communication and relationships.
• Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust.
• Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support outlined program goals and assist in implementing changes or processes as guided.
• Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs, ensuring “name to face” attendance procedures are completed per company policy.
• Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
• Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, and visual) with adults and children.
• Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
• Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
• Proof of MMR vaccination.
• 20+ years of age.
• Ability to meet Connecticut state-specific requirements, including:
  • First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • Must be on site 60% of the time.
• 1080 hours of documented supervised experience over a nine-month span and one of the following:
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential,
  • 12 credits in early childhood education or child development, or
  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or child development, 360 hours of experience working with alike ages, and 1 semester of student teaching with alike ages.
