Department Specific Responsibilities

  • Assists with coordinating events or co-events, including hands-on support during the event, arranging hospitality, and communication.
  • Helps create and participate in outreach in order to make the campus community aware of SEAS programs and classes.
  • Creates and disseminates marketing materials like posters or digital signs.
  • Represents SEAS at HLS meetings when the Director cannot attend - taking notes.
  • Captures regular news and updates via the SEAS listserve and helps keep the website updated.
  • Monitors SEAS email.
  • Affords coordination and oversight of Fulbright Language Teaching Assistants (FLTAs) with the Director and HLS staff.
  • Aids in communication and scheduling for language assessment exams.

Education Requirements

Required: High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED).

Skills Requirements

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer Microsoft Office Suite of programs such as Word, Excel, Data Base Management, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills.
  • Demonstrates a high commitment to quality.
  • Possesses flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Maintains strong organizational and planning skills.

Salary Range

$15.00 - $17.00 hourly based on skills and experience

Schedule

This position is an in-person role requiring regular office hours. It is scheduled for 10 - 15 hours per week.
