Part Time Production Associate - Lake Arbor Store
Pay: $15.95 per hour. Part-time position available; afternoon shifts (4 pm to 9 pm) with weekend availability preferred.
About the role
The Associate I, Retail Production primarily works in a production environment processing and sorting donated items following company quality standards and guidelines to determine which items will be placed on the sales floor. This includes pricing and testing items as required. The Associate ensures the sales floor is well stocked, organized, and presentable, and may occasionally interact with customers to provide excellent service. The role may involve assignments in various areas such as hardlines, softlines, housewares, electronics, mechanical goods, books, or shoes based on business needs. Occasional work in donations may also be required.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed minimum productivity standards and KPIs for assigned duties.
- Sort donated items by type (books, media, textiles, housewares, etc.), including season, color, and quality.
- Hang, size, price, tag, and prepare items for the sales floor.
- Inspect and quick-test items that plug in or run on batteries to ensure they are in working condition.
- Make pricing decisions according to Goodwill standards of quality and value, researching item values as needed.
- Ensure production and sales floor areas are well organized, stocked, properly merchandised, and clean.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering product questions as needed.
- Rotate or pull old or unsold product from the sales floor to refresh product selection.
- Process E-Commerce products (sort, hang, size, price, tag, etc.) as required.
- Follow all retail center policies, procedures, and safety processes.
- Keep work areas clear, organized, and adhere to continuous improvement standards.
- Cross-train in other departments or areas and act as a backup as required.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year of retail experience preferred.
- Attention to detail and ability to make decisions.
- Ability to use basic technologies to follow company standards.
- Judgment to assess quality, value, and pricing of products, including researching values as necessary.
- Ability to see color and assess product quality and value.
- Effective communication with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
- Ability to use a dolly and pallet jack as required.
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and occasional overtime.
