Part-Time Production Associate - Highlands Ranch Store

Responsibilities

The Associate I, Retail Production works in a production environment processing and sorting donated items following company quality standards to determine which items go to the sales floor. This includes pricing, testing, organizing stock, providing customer service, and cross‑training in various departments (hardlines, softlines, housewares, electronics, mechanical goods, books, shoes). The associate may also process e‑commerce merchandise and perform additional duties as required.

• Meets or exceeds minimum productivity standards and KPIs for assigned duties.
• Sort donated items by type (books, media, textiles, housewares, etc.) including season, color, and quality.
• Hang, size, price, tag, and prepare items for sale on the sales floor.
• Inspect and quick‑test plug‑in or battery‑operated items to ensure good workable condition.
• Make pricing decisions according to Goodwill standards (good, better, best), researching item value as needed.
• Ensure production and sales floor areas are well organized, stocked, properly merchandised, and clean.
• Provide excellent customer service to staff and customers; answer product questions as needed.
• Rotate or pull old or unsold product from the sales floor to refresh selection.
• May process e‑commerce product (sort, hang, size, price, tag, etc.).
• Follow all retail center policies and procedures.
• Keep work areas clear and organized; adhere to continuous improvement standards.
• Follow all safety processes and procedures.
• Cross‑train in other departments or act as backup as required.

Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: One (1) year of retail experience preferred.
• Other: Attention to detail and ability to make decisions; ability to use basic technologies to follow company standards; ability to use judgment to assess quality and value of product and price, researching value as necessary; ability to see color and use judgment for quality/value assessment and pricing; effective communication with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers; ability to use a dolly and pallet jack as required; ability to work a varied schedule which may include weekends, evenings, holidays and occasional overtime.
