Part Time Production Associate

About the role

PBS Fort Wayne hires experienced production professionals on a part-time basis as Production Associates. Production Associates are part of a pool of part-time crew members that produce our evening live show productions. The hours are primarily 6:45-8:15pm Mon-Fri. PBS Fort Wayne continuously collects résumés from those who wish to be approved as a part-time employee in the evening production pool. If you submit a résumé in response to this posting, your résumé will be kept on file to review when pool positions become available.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Producer/Directors in studio production, including floor management
• Operation of studio camera and audio
• Operation of live graphics systems and phone systems
• Some studio set-up

Qualifications

• Must be familiar with all basic areas of video/broadcast production
• A degree in a related field is a plus
• Must be able to interact professionally with the public, superiors and peers
• Must be able to follow directions
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time are essential functions of this position

Schedule

• Part-time, non-exempt position
• Hours are primarily in the weekday evenings
• Some weekend hours expected as dictated by pledge and special live programs
