Part Time Production Associate - Castle Rock Store

Pay: $15.95 per hour. Part-time position.

About the role

The Associate I, Retail Production will primarily work in a production environment processing and sorting donated items following company quality standards and guidelines to determine which items will be placed on the sales floor to be sold. This process includes pricing and testing guidelines as required. The Associate is responsible for ensuring the sales floor area is well stocked with product in an organized and presentable fashion. The Associate may occasionally be in contact with customers and is expected to provide excellent customer service. The role may involve assignment to various trained areas such as hardlines, softlines, housewares, electronics, mechanical goods, books, or shoes based on business needs. This position may also occasionally work in donations.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed minimum productivity standards and KPIs for assigned duties.
• Sort donated items by type (books, media, textiles, housewares, etc.), including season, color, and quality of product.
• Hang, size, price, tag, and prepare items to be sold on the sales floor.
• Inspect and quick test items that plug-in or run on batteries to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Make pricing decisions according to Goodwill standards of quality and value (good, better, best), including researching item values online or using company tools.
• Ensure production and sales floor areas are well organized, stocked, properly merchandised, and clean.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer product questions, and assist staff and customers.
• Rotate or pull old or unsold product from the sales floor to refresh product selection.
• Process E-Commerce product as needed (sort, hang, size, price, tag, etc.).
• Follow all retail center policies, procedures, and safety processes to maintain a safe working environment.
• Keep work areas clear, organized, and adhere to continuous improvement standards.
• Cross-train in other departments or areas and act as a backup as required.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of retail experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to make decisions.
• Ability to use basic technologies to follow company standards.
• Judgment to assess quality, value, and pricing of products, including researching values as necessary.
• Ability to see color and assess product quality and value.
• Effective communication with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
• Ability to use a dolly and pallet jack as required.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and occasional overtime.
