Responsibilities
- Edits actualities, play-by-play highlights and audio from ESPN and NY local shows across all ESPN platforms.
- Makes decisions regarding the most relevant audio cuts for ESPN NY Audio and other ESPN platforms.
- Has strong general sports knowledge and of all ESPN NY Audio and ESPN programming.
- Catalogues all audio edited and distributes the most relevant audio to ESPN NY Production teams across all platforms.
- Loads playlists, logs commercials, sales and promotional mentions for live, on-air and multi-platform broadcasts.
- Maintains quality control and adherence to industry standards for multi-platform, on-air products.
- Completes regularly scheduled technical training sessions.
- Assists ESPN NY Audio producers by generating story ideas, providing research materials for interviews and producing show elements.
- Contributes to creative concepts for ESPN NY Audio and multi-platform content.
- Aids ESPN NY Audio imaging team on promos and/or show production.
- Work is subject to scrutiny and is closely supervised and reviewed for timeliness, accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year in commercial production and working at a network or local radio facility.
- Working knowledge of audio operator board and knowledge of ESPN NY Audio programming.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years working at a commercially operated, local or network radio facility.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Pay
The pay rate for this role in New York, NY is $22.50 to $30.14 per hour. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
