About the role
Production Assistant responsible for the operation of all event-related production equipment in Lenovo Center.
Responsibilities
- Operation of house audio and lighting systems for hockey, basketball, and other events
- Setup, tear down, and operation of portable sound systems for auxiliary events
- Setup and tear down of sports scoring equipment
- Operation of audio and presentation equipment for non-ticketed events
Examples of equipment used include:
- Digital and analog audio mixers
- Conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures and controls
- LCD projectors, televisions, DVD players
- Wired and wireless microphones (handheld and body-worn)
- Party-line communication systems/intercoms
- Spotlights
Requirements
- Prior experience as a sound engineer/AV technician in a live event setting
- Associate’s degree in communications or extensive related fieldwork preferred
- Ability to stay alert and observant of surroundings
- Positive and professional interaction with the public, peers, and superiors
- Self-starter able to follow instructions and work without supervision for extended periods
- Must pass a criminal background check
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Running cables in confined spaces
- Climbing stairs
- Lifting objects up to 50 lbs
Schedule
Must be available to work based on booked events; primarily nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Pay
Starting pay is $17.00 per hour.
