Part time Product Evaluator / Sensory Panelist Kerry Ingredients
About the role
MMR Research Worldwide specializes in consumer and sensory research and works with large, international brands within the food, beverage & personal/household care sectors. We are now helping one of our clients, Kerry Ingredients, an international leader in taste & nutrition innovation, to recruit part-time Sensory Panelists.
This role is based at 3400 Millington Rd, Beloit, WI 53511, United States, and involves working on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, every week, for 3 hours per day between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM, with occasional 4-hour shifts and availability for the occasional Friday with advance notice.
Responsibilities
Working individually and within a team to evaluate a variety of food and beverage products, ranging from but not limited to yogurt, sodas, meat products, poultry products, dairy, seafood, protein bars, snacks, meals, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and nutritional gummies.
This position requires excellent verbal communication skills, both for collaborative and independent roles, and the ability to express thoughts in a group of 8-16 people.
You will be taught how to describe and rate the sensory profile of products (aroma, appearance, taste, flavor, texture), and participation and communication skills are key to success.
Requirements
- You must not have any medical, religious, or dietary restrictions (e.g., vegetarian), intolerances, or medical allergies.
- You must not be on any medication that adversely affects visual, taste, and smell acuity.
- You must not be opposed to food additives such as natural & artificial sweeteners.
- You should have good sensory acuity relating to smell, taste, and texture (we assess this at your interview).
- You should have the ability to follow detailed instructions and work well in a team.
- You should have the ability to articulate yourself and use technology (e.g., iPad).
Pay
Starting at $20.00 per hour, with a $1.00 per hour pay raise after 3 to 6 months upon satisfactory completion of training.
Schedule
