Part Time Produce

Cub Mankato West is looking for a dedicated individual to join the produce team. This part-time role focuses on stocking, organizing, and maintaining the visual appeal of produce shelves, with a strong emphasis on product rotation to ensure freshness and minimize waste. Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills are essential to creating an efficient and enjoyable shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, box cutters, and balers.
• Walk long distances and stand for extended periods.
• Perform tasks requiring memorization, reading, writing, and basic math.
• Engage in ongoing customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous, and accurate service.
• Exercise good judgment, especially when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
• Follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies verbally or in writing.
• Work shifts of varying lengths and times, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Operate equipment such as scanners, registers, check approval machines, coupon machines, intercoms, and calculators.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Perform tasks requiring memorization, reading, writing, and basic math.
• Provide ongoing customer service with prompt, courteous, and accurate interactions.
• Demonstrate good judgment in situations where direct supervision may not be available.
• Understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies verbally or in writing.
• Work shifts of varying lengths and times, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting and carrying up to 70 lbs.
• Pushing and pulling up to 2500 lbs.
• Walking on uneven ground.
• Reaching, bending, and repetitive motions.
• Exposure to hot equipment and cooking oil.

Schedule

• Varied weekly shifts.
• Weekends required.

Pay

UNFI anticipates paying a competitive hourly rate for this position. Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
