About the role
We seek a Part-Time Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
Schedule
- Part-time with 30 hours guaranteed weekly, potential to flex up to 40 hours weekly based on business need
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM with lunch from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM
Location: 700 University City Blvd, Suite 142, Blacksburg, VA
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
- Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
- Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies
- Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
- Verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records
- Work with the Pharmacist to assist in pharmacy functions and keep the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
- Perform various clerical duties relating to the department
- Communicate with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Virginia
- Ability to work onsite at 700 University City Blvd, Suite 142, Blacksburg, VA
- Ability to work part-time with 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Access to reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
Pay
The hourly pay for this role will range from $16–$29 per hour based on full-time employment, with actual pay determined by several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
