Part-Time Ph.D. Professor

DESCRIPTION

B.H. Carroll Theological Seminary at East Texas Baptist University invites applications for part-time Ph.D. faculty in its three Doctor of Philosophy programs (Faith and Heritage, Ministry and Formation, and Scripture and Witness).

DUTIES

• Uses Learning Management System (Canvas) to post course content and grades.
• Maintains availability to meet with students concerning course readings, concepts, and materials.
• Guides the student in the research process.
• Offers evaluation of student discussions and written research products.

QUALIFICATIONS

• ETBU seeks qualified individuals with a terminal degree and at least 18 doctoral hours in the concentration in which they are teaching.
• Candidates must have a strong commitment to academic scholarship and teaching, as well as the ability to communicate well with students and colleagues.
• All doctoral faculty must have achieved rank of Associate Professor (with five years of experience) or Professor.
• Candidates must possess an appreciation and commitment to teach in Christian higher education through the integration of biblical faith and learning.
• Candidates must demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Faculty must live lifestyles consistent with the University’s biblical standards of morality, temperance, stewardship, as well as membership and active participation in the faculty member’s local Christian church.
