About the role
The Political Science Department at Fordham University periodically hires part-time non-tenure track (NTT) faculty to teach introductory and upper-division courses.
Responsibilities
- Teach up to, but not exceeding, two undergraduate courses per semester.
- Based on scheduling needs and qualifications, may be offered one or two sections of Introduction to Politics and/or introductory and upper-division subfield courses.
Qualifications
- Advanced political science graduate student ("all but dissertation") or ideally hold a PhD in political science.
Benefits
Part-time NTT instructors at Fordham are represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and certain terms of employment, including minimum per course rates and details concerning benefits, are set by the Adjunct Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Pay
$8,798 per semester course.
Schedule
Positions are by semester positions, typically for fall semester (late August to late December) and spring semester (mid-January to late May).
