Part-time Payroll Processor

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for employees in multiple states with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Review payroll data, validate earnings and deductions, and resolve discrepancies before each payroll cycle is finalized.
• Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Use Paycor to manage payroll transactions, update employee information, and generate payroll-related reports as needed.
• Respond to payroll questions from employees and internal stakeholders in a timely and attentive manner.
• Monitor compliance with state and federal payroll requirements, including tax withholdings and payroll deductions.
• Partner with internal teams to collect, verify, and enter payroll changes such as hours, pay adjustments, and status updates.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of payroll processing experience in a detail-focused setting.
• Proven experience handling multi-state payroll with a strong understanding of payroll compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience processing bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Proficiency with Paycor and confidence using payroll systems for data entry, maintenance, and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct payroll discrepancies.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently in a part-time contract role.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience processing bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule. They should be proficient with Paycor and confident using payroll systems for data entry, maintenance, and reporting. Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills are essential. Experience handling multi-state payroll and compliance requirements is preferred.
