Part-Time Patient Care Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Dialysis Technician to join our healthcare team, providing safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in a patient-centered environment. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you will deliver direct patient care and ensure smooth operation of dialysis treatments.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and discontinue hemodialysis treatments
• Monitor patient vital signs, weight, and vascular access
• Report any anomalies or concerns to the nursing team
• Set up, operate, and perform safety checks on dialysis machines
• Administer heparin as permitted by protocol
• Accurately document treatment details and prepare lab specimens
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare team members

Qualifications & Skills

• Knowledge of dialysis procedures, machine operation, and safety protocols
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Compliance with relevant regulations and policies
