About the Role
Acting as a source of public information about the more than 40 City parks and trail network, park rangers interpret and enforce park rules and regulations for visitors, assist with various events and programs and ensure safety for park patrons.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and enforce park rules and regulations for visitors
- Aid with various events and programs
- Ensure safety for park patrons
- Occasionally direct helpers, assistants, seasonal employees, interns, or temporary employees
- Perform parking enforcement personnel for non-moving violations at City Parks and City Facilities as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
Qualifications
- Experience with public speaking and customer service
- Knowledge of local parks and trails
- Basic computer skills
