About the role

Hershey’s Chocolate World is seeking a Parking Attendant to join our team. This is a part-time, seasonal position located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, with work hours primarily in the summer and fall.

Responsibilities

  • Direct guests to appropriate parking areas
  • Maintain proper flow of vehicles in and out of the parking lot
  • Ensure spaces are available for guests
  • Set up parking cones and directional signage as needed
  • Process cash transactions
  • Provide general directions
  • Handle numerous guest situations to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Greet, welcome, and provide information to customers
  • Listen to customers and provide information to assist them
  • Use basic math skills to process payment transactions
  • Direct traffic on Hershey’s Chocolate World property during peak traffic times

Requirements

  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions including extreme heat, rain, wind, and other inclement conditions
  • Maintain a neat appearance and meet the uniform standards
  • Must be able to walk or stand for 5-8 hours
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 25-50 pounds
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and fellow coworkers and function effectively as part of a team
  • Must have basic math skills such as addition and subtraction
  • Must have customer service skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to solve problems
  • Must have leadership/ability to take initiative

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not required
  • Parking experience is preferred but not required

  • Must initiate contact with our guests by being courteous and greeting them with a smile
  • Must be willing to listen to our guests and provide for their needs

Benefits

The company will not provide relocation assistance or other employment benefits for this position.

Pay

Hershey’s Chocolate World offers an hourly pay rate of $16.00 or more based on experience.
