About the role

The Lot Attendant supports the day-to-day operations of our parking facilities, performing tasks to ensure a smooth operation and exceeding customer/client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Greet arriving and departing guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Act as traffic controller to direct incoming guests to available parking spaces.
  • Perform vehicle counts on location throughout shift to ensure garage does not overfill available spaces.
  • Ensure vehicles are parked according to lot layout, spacing, and site instructions.
  • Distribute parking validation instructions or signage information when applicable.
  • Adjust cones, barriers, and directional signage as needed.
  • Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
  • Monitor pedestrian crossings and ensure safe vehicle-pedestrian interaction.
  • Pick up litter, debris, or objects that could damage vehicles or cause hazards.
  • Aid with seasonal tasks such as rain prep, heat precautions, and storm readiness.
  • Use respectful communication to assist guests with their questions, problems, and concerns, relay information to Operations Manager or Shift Lead as necessary.
  • Immediately report any accidents, incidents, or safety concerns to Operations Manager or Shift Lead.
  • Follow established safety protocols at all times.
  • Communicate professionally at all times with guests, clients, and teammates.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Successfully pass a background check, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Authorized to work in the United States and able to provide documentation verifying eligibility, as required by the Department of Homeland Security.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and report hazards.
  • Previous customer service experience, preferred.
