Part Time Paraprofessional (Instructional) PC - 3.5 Hours/day

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Ability to work harmoniously with students and teachers
• Experience in organizational skills
• Knowledge of and/or experience with computers (preferred but not required)

Credentials must comply with all federal and state laws and regulations governing individuals in this position.

Responsibilities

• Direct student instruction
• Perform clerical duties as assigned
• Respond to teacher's needs for in-class and/or small group assistance
• Assist teacher in maintenance of program resources
• Work with students as assigned
• Assist with small group instruction as directed by the teachers
• Utilize instructional materials, learning activities, and techniques as directed by the teacher
• Develop rapport with students and encourage positive self-esteem
• Use teaching techniques appropriate to meet student needs as directed by the teacher
• Assist in maintaining classroom order and discuss student discipline concerns with the attending teacher
• Perform non-teaching/clerical duties as directed by the teacher and agreed to by the building principal
• Perform non-teaching/clerical duties as directed by the administration
• Assist with displays and bulletin boards
• Participate in building-level committees, programs, and district-level workshops/inservice programs as assigned
• Perform additional responsibilities as determined by attending teachers and agreed to by the building principal
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the building principal
