Part Time - Paramedic

About the Role

Provide emergency medical care in pre-hospital settings, responding to calls, assessing patients, administering advanced life support, and ensuring safe transport while maintaining communication with dispatch and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and assess patient conditions.
• Administer advanced life support and emergency medical treatments.
• Transport patients safely to medical facilities.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, healthcare teams, and patients.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain and inspect medical equipment.
• Educate patients and families on medical care and follow-up.

Requirements

• Current New York State Paramedic license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or obtain within 3 months of hire).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Physical ability to lift and move patients.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in 911 and inter-facility transport.
• Critical care transport experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform heavy lifting, walking, kneeling, crawling, and climbing.
• Capable of operating in varied and often hazardous environments.

Additional Information

Continuous education is required. The role involves working 12-hour shifts, often in challenging conditions.

Pay

$28.75 - $34.25 per hour.
