Part-time Outpatient Obstetrician – North Carolina
About the role
Oula Health is seeking a part-time OBGYN to join our collaborative care model. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care, including gynecological and obstetrical services, and collaborate with midwives to support patients requiring more complex care.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care
- Participate in direct antepartum and gynecological care including periodic scheduled gynecological and obstetrical procedures such as cesarean births
- Provide clinical consultation for Oula midwives, actively participating in clinical collaboration – in the office and virtually
- Manage patient related follow up such as setting care plans and following up on lab results and escalated patient messages
- Act as the collaborating provider of record for midwives, nurses, sonographers, and medical assistants. Partner with the Lead Midwife to ensure that high quality evidence based care is being provided
- Admin/Clinical Quality
- Partner with the Lead Midwife to facilitate quality care, participating and presenting in didactic meetings
- Participate in the peer review chart audit process and incident reporting RCAs
- Act as a champion of collaborative care model among patients, in an OP/IP setting, and in the broader community
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Residency in obstetrics / gynecology
- Great patient reviews and reputation for exceptional patient care and bedside manner
- Experience with telemedicine or virtual care
- Licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina

Oula offers a competitive total rewards package which includes base salary, and comprehensive benefits. Exact compensation inclusive of salary and any bonuses is determined based on a number of factors including experience and skill level, location, and qualifications which are assessed during the interview process.
Salary Range: $170,000 - $202,500 USD
