Part-Time OR Nurse

Role Overview: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, responsible for independently planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using established standards and policies. The nurse provides direct patient care, assumes teaching and leadership roles, and actively participates in unit committees and quality improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Documenting medical and nursing care accurately in electronic or paper records.Using effective interview techniques to gather patient history and provide appropriate interventions.Applying age-specific care standards and addressing barriers to learning.Administering medications safely, accurately, and understanding dosage requirements.Evaluating patient outcomes to ensure needs are met.Completing documentation legibly and thoroughly.Providing feedback, resolving issues through the chain of command, and collaborating with team members.Completing care assignments efficiently and communicating patient needs during shift handovers.Maintaining current knowledge of policies, attending training, and serving as a preceptor for new staff and students.Engaging with patients' families and participating in on-call duties. Qualifications & Skills Florida RN or APRN license.Minimum of one year recent OR experience.Current BLS and ALS certifications from recognized organizations.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.Strong critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills.
