About the Role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides patient-centered care under RN supervision, assessing needs, administering medications, assisting with treatments, and coordinating care. They prepare patients for exams, document treatments accurately, and educate patients and families to promote self-care. The LPN collaborates with healthcare team members, communicates changes in patient conditions, and participates in staff education and ongoing professional development. They may serve as a preceptor for new colleagues and perform duties across multiple sites within a 35-mile radius.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care under RN supervision
- Assess patient needs and administer medications
- Assist with treatments and coordinate care services
- Contribute to care planning and provide patient/family education
- Ensure accurate documentation of treatments and patient progress
- Communicate changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team
- Participate in staff training and adhere to organizational policies
- May serve as a preceptor for new colleagues
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Active LPN license
- BLS certification
- Preferred experience in oncology or outpatient settings
- Strong clinical, assessment, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Computer proficiency
- Reliable transportation and valid Georgia driver’s license
- Scheduling flexibility

The role involves local travel within a 35-mile radius and may require floating between sites based on need.
