Part-Time Occupational Therapist
Marklund in Elgin is seeking a highly motivated and mission-centered individual for a Part-Time Occupational Therapist role. This position is based at our Elgin facility, the Nathan Education Center.

Join us in making everyday life possible for individuals with profound disabilities. As an Occupational Therapist at Marklund, you will provide and direct therapy services to residents and students, contributing to their growth and well-being.
Schedule
Part-time hours: 9a–2p Monday–Thursday or 9a–1p Monday–Friday.
Pay
Hourly rate: $40–$45/hr, based on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide and direct Occupational Therapy services, including assessments, goals, treatment plans, program planning, implementation, documentation, and communication.
- Perform annual evaluations for IPP and IEP meetings.
- Serve as clinical instructor for potential OT students and supervise COTAs.
- Assist with aqua therapy and orthotics as needed.
- Provide training and in-services to staff and caregivers on occupational-therapy topics.
- Adhere to applicable principles and practices of occupational therapy, Marklund policies, and state regulations.
Requirements
- Licensed/Registered Occupational Therapist in Illinois.
- Current BLS CPR certification for Healthcare Workers.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Experience with OT treatment, evaluations, and IEP meetings.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job and meet its functional and environmental requirements.

Marklund is a nonprofit organization providing residential, educational, and therapy services to infants, children, teens, and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With two residential locations—the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin—it is home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs or autism-spectrum diagnoses. Community Day Services provide a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklund or come from the community.
