Part-Time Nursing Supervisor

Role Overview

The Nursing Shift Supervisor provides on-site leadership during off-shifts, overseeing patient care, staffing, and emergent situations in hospital or long-term care settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage patient care delivery, staff, and safety concerns during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Support staff through clinical problem-solving, mentoring, and coaching while ensuring adherence to hospital policies and regulations.
• Conduct patient rounds, facilitate patient flow, and collaborate with care teams for effective decision-making.
• Promote interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure safe, respectful, and culturally sensitive care, advocating for patient rights.
• Ensure proper documentation, communication, and serve as liaison across departments and leadership.
• Maintain required educational standards, participate in leadership development, and support fiscal responsibility.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's preferred.
• Current RN license in the state; BLS certification required.
• Strong clinical expertise, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Physical & Other Requirements

• Must be able to perform medium work, including walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
