Part-time Night Weekend LPN/RN (Friday, Saturday or Sunday) - (Orlando)

About the Role

We are seeking LPNs or RNs for a part-time position working every Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Candidates must have full availability each week for the days they express interest in. This role does not alternate weekends off.

Responsibilities

• Comply with nursing policies and procedures to ensure nursing standards are met.
• Promote optimal health for clients.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician’s orders and in accordance with state and federal guidelines, including controlled substances via all routes without restriction.
• Assist clients with all health and medical devices, including but not limited to: glasses, hearing devices, tracheotomies, G/J tubes, colostomies, urostomies, apnea monitors, CPAP machines, ventilators, oxygen, oxygen concentrators, nebulizer machines, suction devices, and suctioning toothbrushes.
• Monitor clients for seizures, medication side effects, signs and symptoms of illness, and provide necessary nursing interventions.
• Inform the Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, and/or physician of health status changes, accidents, and injuries of clients.
• Notify the Director of Nursing or Health Care Coordinator of emergency situations.
• Complete all required documentation, including assessments, nurses’ notes, tracking forms, charting, incident reports, monthly/quarterly reports, etc.
• Assist with quality assurance reviews and file documents in charts when requested.
• Complete medication validation and documentation as required by APD (65G-7) guidelines.
• Assist with Respiratory Therapy and IV Therapy, including pushing IV medications and mixing IV medications.
• Assist with clinical evaluations and assessment of medication administration and/or understanding of medical procedures of clients.
• Ensure client’s mealtime procedures and therapeutic positioning procedures, including client transfers, are followed.
• Conduct administration classes as needed.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Active unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Florida.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Effective communication skills in English (writing, speaking, and comprehension).
• Able to work in the U.S. without requiring Visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay

• LPN: $30.50/hour
• RN: $36.50/hour

Schedule

Part-time, every Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
