- Conduct hourly facility patrols, including compost pits and other high-risk areas
- Identify and monitor potential fire hazards, including unusual heat, smoke, or odors
- Document patrol findings and maintain accurate shift logs
- Report safety concerns, security issues, and hazardous conditions promptly
- Ensure doors, gates, and access points remain secure
- Monitor site conditions and respond appropriately to emergencies
- Follow all company safety procedures and fire prevention protocols

- Previous experience in security, fire prevention, facilities maintenance, or a related role preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills

- Basic knowledge of fire prevention practices preferred
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol the facility throughout the shift
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to climb stairs, navigate uneven terrain, and inspect multiple facility areas
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work around dust, dirt, mud, noise, and industrial operations
- Ability to wear required PPE and other safety equipment as required
- Work is conducted in both indoor and outdoor areas of the facility
- Employees may be exposed to: Dust, dirt, mud, and strong odors

The Role
As a Night Shift Security & Fire Prevention Specialist, you'll maintain an active presence throughout the facility during overnight hours, helping ensure the site remains safe, secure, and protected from potential fire hazards. You'll conduct routine patrols, monitor composting areas for signs of combustion, document observations, and respond appropriately to any unusual conditions or emergencies.
