Full-time Night Shift Specialist, Physical Security (Monday through Thursday 12:30am to 10:30am) Weekday overnight Position
Position Summary
Supports the development and implementation of protocols, programs, and training by providing input, making recommendations for improvement, ensuring compliance, updating and maintaining site-specific responsibilities, initiating the incident command system in emergency situations, responding to alarm and intrusion detection system activation, determining priorities of action, providing tactical security responses, investigating reported threats, assessing visitor threat levels, escorting critical and valuable items, ensuring regulatory and corporate policy compliance, addressing compliance-related issues, reporting and correcting violations, implementing solutions to achieve compliance, developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners, providing tactical emergency responses, providing customer service, reporting feedback, completing work assignments, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, adapting to and learning from change, complying with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
What you'll do:
- Provides input and makes recommendations for improving safety and security protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), training, and security programs.
- Maintains compliance with Corporate Security protocols, SOPs, and company policy.
- Updates and maintains site-specific responsibilities.
- Initiates the incident command system in emergency situations until relieved.
- Responds to alarm and intrusion detection system activation.
- Determines priorities of action in emergency situations.
- Provides tactical security responses to life safety events and incidents.
- Investigates reported corporate facility threats, allegations of policy violations, criminal activity, security breaches, and complaints.
- Affords visitor threat level assessments and assists with and escorts critical and valuable items.
- Ensures regulatory and corporate policy compliance.
- Addresses compliance-related issues, reports and corrects violations, implements solutions to achieve compliance.
- Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external partners.
- Provides tactical emergency responses during life safety incidents.
- Provides customer service with internal and external associates and customers.
- Reports feedback from customers.
- Completes work assignments and priorities.
- Uses policies, data, and resources, collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners, identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carries out tasks, communicates progress and information, determines and recommends ways to address improvement opportunities, adapts to and learns from change, complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Successfully completed (or able to complete) all core components of the Physical Security Specialist Training Academy within 90 days of employment while maintaining employment status.
- Possesses at least one year of experience in security, law enforcement, military, emergency services, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Security, Emergency Operations, or Law Enforcement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or Sociology.
- CPR/BCLS certification.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 - $40.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
