Part Time Night Nurse

About the Role

Provides direct patient care in a medical/surgical setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within established standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment needs, and medication use. Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and communicate individualized care plans, addressing physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs. Ensures patient safety and participates in professional development. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess patient conditions and barriers to involvement.

Responsibilities

• Promote a healing environment and educate patients and families
• Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities
• Develop and document care plans in collaboration with the care team
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients
• Maintain communication across the care continuum

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree; Bachelor's preferred
• No prior experience required, but less than two years is advantageous
• Safety-sensitive role demanding alertness and safe work practices
