Part Time Night Nurse

About the Role

Provides direct patient care in a specialized surgical unit, focusing on orthopedic, spine, urological, and plastic surgery patients. Collaborates with an interprofessional team to develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting safety, quality, and patient-centered care. Educates patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Maintains high standards of nursing practice, assessment, and evaluation of physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient needs, preferences, and barriers to involvement in care.
• Develop, document, and communicate comprehensive care plans.
• Participate in promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Educate patients and families to support healing and recovery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

• RN license with a nursing diploma or associate degree; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• No prior experience required; less than two years preferred.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive role.

Schedule

Part-time night shift position with every 4th weekend requirement.
