About the role
Part-Time Night Custodian responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of school facilities.
Responsibilities
- Clean interior areas (hallways, restrooms, offices, classrooms, multipurpose rooms)
- Clean exterior perimeter, parking lot, and windows
- Empty trash
- Dust furniture, air vents, and window sills
- Sterilize restrooms
- Clean up bodily messes
- Service cafeteria areas and floors
- Assist with cleaning projects and preventive maintenance
- Participate in training programs
- Ensure safety compliance
- Respond to emergencies
- Follow policies and procedures
- Must carry a radio and remain on school property during shifts
- Follow all safety and legal regulations
Requirements
- Minimum high school education with ongoing construction or facilities training
- At least 1 year of janitorial experience
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and OSHA standards
- Ability to perform physical tasks, exerting light force
- Willingness to travel if needed
- Effective communication skills
