About the Role
Full-time Night Custodian responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive school environment.
Responsibilities
- Keep the building, grounds, and outdoor areas tidy
- Perform yard work and lawn maintenance
- Manage trash disposal
- Shovel, plow, and sand walkways
- Wash windows
- Ensure building security by inspecting doors and hardware
- Open and secure the building daily
- Set up and clean the cafeteria
- Maintain floors and perform custodial tasks
- Assist with maintenance work and report repairs
- Move furniture
- Deliver mail and freight
- Replenish supplies
- Change light bulbs
- Perform clerical duties as needed
- May assist in supervising student interns
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with Microsoft programs
- Ability to use custodial equipment
- Physically capable of lifting 70 pounds
- Positive communication skills
- Knowledge of safety procedures
- Experience as a custodian is preferred
- Background check necessary
Additional Information
- Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Some travel may be required
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 260 days per year (night shift).
