PART TIME - Network Service Technician - Queens/Long Island

This role reports directly to the Regional Service Manager and focuses on the installation, maintenance, and ongoing support of Health Monitor Network’s Digital Exam-Room Screens and TVs. The position combines technical expertise with a strong customer-experience focus, acting as a brand ambassador for Health Monitor. Work is performed using approved methods and standards, with travel required within Queens and Long Island, NY. Ability to work 15-25 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Install, exchange, and replace Health Monitor Network’s Digital Screens and TVs, including cable raceway and equipment setup according to established procedures.
  • Return equipment as needed through a predefined process.
  • Provide comprehensive support for Health Monitor screens, ensuring optimal network connectivity and performance, including:
    • Physical maintenance and software updates.
    • Managing connectivity, troubleshooting Wi-Fi, signal strength, and other network-related issues.
    • Collaborating with internal network operations teams and external vendors to diagnose and resolve connectivity problems.
  • Train and support physician office staff on screen utilization, content management, and effective use of related technologies.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with physician offices, scheduling appointments and identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to communicate opportunities and support expansion of service offerings.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, installations, and troubleshooting steps using a field service management app.
  • Document and report recurring issues for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance customer experience and installation processes.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or a combination of education and experience, preferably in a technical field.
  • Proven experience in a customer service and/or technical role, ideally involving hardware installation or support (healthcare field service, maintenance, electrical, technical work, or IT experience is beneficial).
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, including technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with composure and professionalism.
  • Basic understanding of networking and hardware components is a plus.
  • Active and unrestricted driver’s license is required.

Physical Demands

  • Extensive daily travel (minimum 75%) within the assigned territory; additional travel may be requested.
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
  • Ability to perform moderate lifting, up to 30 pounds.
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions, including temperature changes and potential adverse weather when traveling.
