Part Time Merchandiser - Port Townsend, WA

About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our product in various retail locations. The role involves merchandising and organizing product displays, maintaining inventory levels, and providing customer service.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends, the day before and after major holidays

Pay

The starting pay is $17.50 per hour, with increases to $18.60 after 6 months and $19.50 after 1 year of employment. Pay rates may vary based on work location.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 5 hours per week, with potential increases to 10 hours per week around holidays. Routes service the following locations: 442 W Sims Way, Port Townsend, WA, 98368; 515 Sheridan St and 1890 Irondale Rd, Port Hadlock, WA.
