About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase and manage product inventory in various retail locations. The role involves merchandising and organizing product displays, maintaining backroom areas, and providing customer service.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet

Requirements

• No prior experience necessary, training provided
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and major holiday periods

Qualifications

• Physical ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 40 pounds, stand, walk, stoop, and squat throughout the workday
• Ability to use a stepstool as needed

Pay

The starting pay is $14.00 per hour, with increases to $14.80 after 6 months and $15.50 after 1 year of employment. Pay rates may vary based on work location.
