Part Time Merchandiser - Jacksonville, FL

About the role

American Greetings is a global leader in the Celebrations marketplace. As a Merchandiser, you help people celebrate holidays, each other, and life’s special moments by making the world a more thoughtful and caring place. You will work independently across various retail locations, displaying and maintaining inventory of greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, plush, and more.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders.
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations.
• Maintain organized backroom areas and perform other inventory tasks as needed.
• Communicate with management any questions or concerns regarding service or schedules.
• Work in a fast‑paced retail environment using effective time management and organizational skills.
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours.
• Be available for additional working days and extended hours leading up to and immediately following major holidays.
• Provide occasional assistance with store resets, which may include minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested.
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company‑issued tablet.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

No prior experience necessary; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodation).
• Access to reliable transportation for multiple retail locations.
• Access to reliable internet to receive job information and updates.
• Technological competency – able to learn and use the company‑provided tablet for training and daily tasks.
• Meet scheduling needs – occasional weekends and the day before/after major holidays (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas).

Pay

Starting pay is $14.00 per hour. After 6 months of employment the rate increases to $14.80 per hour, and after 1 year of continued employment it increases to $15.50 per hour (rates subject to change by work location).

Schedule

Flexible work scheduling is offered. The route services the following locations: 4250 Philips Hwy, Jacksonville, FL 32207; 716 New Berlin Rd Ste 17; 12375 Yellow Buff Rd; 1040 E 8Th St; 13807 N Main St; 3801 University Blvd W Unit 3; 14619 Yellow Bluff Rd; and 5875 Main Street N. Weekly average hours are 8 hours per week, increasing to an average of 14 hours per week around holidays. Ideal candidates are available during daytime hours, specifically Monday mornings, and for additional working days and extended hours leading up to and immediately following major holidays.
