About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our celebrations products in various retail locations. The role involves merchandising and organizing product displays, maintaining inventory levels, and providing customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
  • Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
  • Maintain an organized backroom area
  • Other inventory tasks as needed
  • Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
  • Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
  • Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
  • Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
  • Work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Access to reliable transportation and internet
  • Technological competency to use company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
  • Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and major holiday periods
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, squat, and use a stepstool

Qualifications

  • No prior experience necessary, training provided

Pay

The starting pay is $11.70 per hour, with increases to $12.40 after 6 months and $13.00 after 1 year of employment. Pay rates may vary based on work location.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 3 hours, which may increase to an average of 6 hours per week around holidays. The route services the following retail locations: 245 Macon Plaza, Franklin, NC, 28734; 140 Shawn Pack Circle; 668 E Main St; 152 W Palmer St; 2909 Georgia Rd; 3974 Highlands Rd; 3230 Old Murphy Rd and 6549 Georgia Rd. The route is available for occasional weekends and major holiday periods.
