Part Time Merchandiser - Charlotte, NC

About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our celebrations products in various retail locations. The role involves merchandising and organizing product displays, maintaining inventory levels, and providing customer service.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including weekends and major holiday periods

Pay and Schedule

The starting pay is $12.60 per hour, increasing to $13.30 after 6 months and $14.00 after 1 year. Flexible work scheduling is offered. We provide paid training and a 401(k) with company match.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 8 hours, which may increase to 16 hours per week around holidays. Ideal candidates should be available during daytime hours and specifically Monday mornings.
