Part Time Merchandiser - Marion, NC

About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help customers celebrate holidays and special moments by showcasing and managing product inventory in various retail locations. The role involves merchandising, organizing product displays, maintaining backroom areas, and assisting with store resets.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display products within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets involving minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
• Work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• No prior experience necessary, training provided
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Flexible availability for weekends and major holidays

Qualifications

• Physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and using a stepstool
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

The starting hourly rate is $11.70, with increases to $12.40 after 6 months and $13.00 after 1 year of employment. Rates may vary based on work location.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 4 hours, which may increase to 10 hours per week around holidays.
