About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase and manage inventory levels of our celebrations products in various retail locations. The role involves merchandising, organizing product displays, and maintaining backroom areas.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including weekends and major holiday periods
• Physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and using a stepstool

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Reliable transportation and internet access
• Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet
• Meet scheduling needs, including weekends and major holiday periods

Pay

The starting pay is $13.50 per hour, with increases to $14.30 after 6 months and $15.00 after 1 year of continued employment. Flexible work scheduling is offered.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 8 hours per week, with potential increases to an average of 19 hours per week around holidays.
