About the role
We seek a compassionate Medical Assistant to support a pain management team by providing clinical and administrative assistance.
Responsibilities
- Aiding healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures
- Recording medical histories and vital signs
- Preparing examination rooms
- Scheduling appointments
- Performing basic lab tests
- Educating patients on treatment plans
- Maintaining accurate records
- Managing patient inquiries
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach
