Part-Time Medical Assistant

Role: Medical Assistant Responsibilities Assist providers during patient examinations and treatments, perform point-of-care tests, and document medical information accurately in electronic medical records.Complete patient intake, including verifying information, obtaining medical history, and recording vital signs.Maintain clinical supplies, disinfect treatment rooms, and ensure a safe, compliant environment.Support front office tasks such as check-in, check-out, appointment scheduling, and handling phone calls when needed.Follow HIPAA guidelines, maintain logs, address voicemails and inbox messages, and attend relevant training. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or GED; graduate of an accredited healthcare program (e.g., Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, EMT) required.Nationally recognized CMA preferred; current BLS certification; strong computer skills; EMR experience preferred.1-3 years of experience in Family or Pediatrics settings is preferred. Additional Details No supervisory responsibilities.Ability to stand, handle, reach, lift up to 20 pounds frequently, and occasionally move more than 25 pounds.Excellent communication, empathy, and record-keeping skills required.
