Part-Time Medical Assistant

Primary Responsibilities

• Assists Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients.
• Maintains patient flow and keeps exam and treatment rooms up to date.
• Performs basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing.
• Administers intramuscular injections, immunizations, and over-the-counter medications under the direction of a Physician.
• Cross-trains over time in all specialties and ancillary services including ENT, Sleep, Allergy, Cosmetic, CT, and Triage.
• Works scheduled hours and travels between all office locations as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• CPR Certification required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience preferred.
• Previous surgical experience preferred.
• Able to work in a high stress, fast-paced environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• PREFERRED: Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT.
