Part-Time Mechanic

Role Overview

This position involves safely operating, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment to ensure optimal and safe functionality. It requires hands-on work with a variety of vehicles and machinery, utilizing tools and diagnostic software. The role includes completing reports, ordering parts, scheduling repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Additionally, the technician may assist in training new employees and staying updated with the latest technology through manuals and seminars.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED; technical diploma preferred
• Minimum one year of diesel mechanic experience
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment necessary for repairs
• Proficient in using diagnostic software and repair manuals
• Effective communication, independence, and record-keeping skills
• Physical ability to handle tools and lift up to 100 pounds
