Part Time Meat Clerk

About the Role

Cub Lakeville West is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Meat Stocker to join our team. This role focuses on cutting, wrapping, preparing, and stocking products in the meat and seafood department while ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain meat and seafood cases
• Perform meat and seafood cutting, wrapping, and preparation
• Clean and sanitize equipment, cases, work area, and sales floor
• Assist customers with product locations, suggestions, and inquiries
• Answer department phone calls and respond or refer as appropriate
• Assist in ordering and receiving meat and seafood shipments

Requirements

• Operate equipment such as meat slicer, scale, intercom, telephone, racks, calculator, forklift, meat grinder, cuber, bulker, meat mixer, patty machine, tenderizer, pressure washer, etc.
• Able to walk long distances and stand for extended periods
• Strong memorization, reading, writing, and math skills
• Ongoing customer interaction with prompt, courteous, and accurate service
• Good judgment, especially when direct supervision may not be immediately available
• Ability to follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies verbally or in writing
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, and repetitive motions
• Exposure to hot equipment and cooking oil

Schedule

Varied weekly shifts with weekend availability required.

Pay

Compensation is based on a progressive union scale. Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
